What Is Antimicrobial?

It is an active agent that kills or inhibits the growth of existing bacteria and molds on any surface.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIBACTERIAL?
Antimicrobial agents are effective against bacteria, molds, viruses and fungi, while antibacterial agents are effective against bacteria.

TYPES OF ADDITIVES FOR ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS:
Antimicrobial additives are divided into 4 groups; Silver, Zinc, Copper and Organic Additives.

Silver base ions give products excellent antimicrobial effectiveness against a wide range of microbes.

Zinc oxide is used in materials and applications that are expected to pose a more severe risk of mold and fungus. In addition, it provides excellent antibacterial protection.

Copper salts are usually used for hygienic protection. It is suitable for use in materials, such as disinfectants, paints and coatings, for antimicrobial effect.

Organic additives are cost-effective and used as preservatives in industrial applications. It is particularly ideal for disinfectant formulations.

The antimicrobial quality comes from the mixture of silver base ion and zinc oxide raw materials.
